The hotel is nice, relatively clean for its age, but old and dated. It must have the most amazing gym of any Ritz-Carlton I’ve ever stayed in… Breakfast was excellent as well. My co-workers and I only had issues at check in. It was the most unpleasant experience of my life. Other than that, as long as the rates are fair, I’d stay again just because of the gym.
Location is Great as long as you are not near the road. They kindly moved our room to a different location on request. This was our 2nd stay at Hilton Double Tree in Hyannis. I really love the Great Gym and the indoor salt pool. I hope they keep it ALL. Very nice comfy beds! Wife and I enjoyed our two days there celebrating our wedding anniversary. We love spending time out on Cape Cod, thank you Double Tree staff for All Your Support!
Stayed 5 days here two different times. The first time was good. The second time not so much. Sounded like a circus on the floor above me. Lots of thumping and pounding well into the night.
I always had a hot shower so that was nice. There isn't a microwave in the room. There is a micro fridge. The Internet was marginal at best. You can upgrade for an extra fee. Housekeeping did a great job keeping my room clean.
The hotel has a restaurant with a buffet style breakfast which I felt was overpriced. They also have an eat in bar. The menu has quite a selection. I had the wood fired pizza which was really good but again over priced.
The hotel is close to the ferry ports and various restaurants. The hotel has both an outdoor and indoor pool. The exercise/gym room was huge and very nice.
The hotel was humid in the hallways. My key card worked 50% of the time on the outside access doors closest to my room.
I probably would try another hotel in the area to see the differences.
Our stay at DoubleTree Hyannis was meant to be an opportunity for my husband and I to relax after a year of incredible stress, however, it was anything but relaxing. We had a terrible experience, mainly due to the maintenance issues with our room and the total lack of response and accommodation by the staff. Out of the 5 nights we stayed, 3 involved being woken up repeatedly in the middle of the night by a smoke alarm above our bed. Despite making the front desk aware of this each time, their response was solely to “call maintenance” which did not resolve the issue. At 7 months pregnant and using our hard-earned points for this vacation, I was extremely disappointed to feel more exhausted than when I arrived. It was difficult to enjoy the day activities we had planned and ruined the one vacation we had the opportunity to take this year. To add insult to injury, there was no apology from the staff and no true attempt to fix the situation or our accommodations. We were lucky to get a smile from them, which occurred maybe 50% of the time. Also, the room was in desperate need of some love, the existing damage made it feel grimy.
The hotel's pool and fire pit were truly enjoyable. The complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate were delightful, and I suggest they should be available throughout the day and night. However, room 303 was quite damp and smelly with an uneven floor that could potentially cause someone to trip. On a positive note, the staff was proficient and courteous. The bar offered a range of delectable food and drinks.
Large room and tub. Comfortable bed.
Had about 5 steps to go up once on our floor to get to our room. Carpet dated.
Staying at this Hilton hotel did not live up to my expectations. Rather than feeling like I was in a reputable Hilton establishment, it felt more akin to a budget motel. Regrettably, I paid a steep price of over $500 per night for this …
